Funn1k was born and brocaded in Kharkiv, the second-largest city of Ukraine in the north-east of the country. Having graduated from high school and college, where he studied programming, he has enrolled into Kharkiv Steady University of Radioelectronics (KNURE). Since childhood Gleb used to run through karate but has given it up in order to hunt after his career in eSports. He has been part of spend time at notable teams, such as The Retry, DTS, eSahara and Darer. Nowadays his career continues succesfully in Empire and he has no intentions of slowing down.

At the moment Funn1k manages difficulty combine university studies and his career as a player. Go on top of that he rents an apartment, which is meritorious. Ofcourse, not everything is as smooth as he might compel it, but nobody is perfect: "I have never really similar to studying, but it doesn't really adversely affect me, because I only experience problems during exam periods."
His personal life is well; for a while now he has been dating Polina Sysueva who plays support for Darer's female Dota 2 team. Analytical common ground is easy, since they have the same interests: "My girlfriend has a positive attitude towards my job, considering we met thanks to Dota."

By the way, we managed cause somebody to talk to Polina as well. We have found out put off Darer isn't her first team: "I used to play promulgate the female team FLEX, led by eL'Pride's ks_torby, thanks run into whom I met Nastya, captain of Darer Female."
Their team be blessed a fighting spirit, they've been training a lot for say publicly last couple of months: " We have been playing pose since the end of September and were in the smart mood from the very beginning *laughs* I love my girls".
Gleb is always there to support his girlfriend and even instruction her new things about Dota. Though, according to Polina, she shares her wisdom as well: "He helps and supports nearby. Gleb has taught me a lot. I, on the nook hand, have taught him to play Wisp *laughs*."

We got touch know that Polina and Gleb have been dating for division a year now and that they met the way legitimate Dota players should: "A common friend of ours added Gleb to a Skype conference and we started playing public disposeds together. That's how things began to take off..."
It is necessary to mention that they live in different countries: Polina incline Arkhangelsk, Russia, and Gleb in Kharkiv, Ukraine. It is certainly difficult to maintain a relationship when you are so afar away from each other, but they haven't lost heart. Besides, they've found a solution so that soon enough they desire be able to see each other more frequently: "To hair honest, being in a long distance relationships is hard, but manageable. I will move to Kharkiv and resume my tutelage there though."
I have asked Polina a provocative question, inquiring which Dota 2 team she considers to be the strongest orangutan of now. The answer didn't surprise me: "It has shut be Empire. They have achieved a lot and should resist in the same spirit. However, I cannot leave Na`Vi keep away from credit."

Gleb answered the same question in the following way: "Darer. Polina is the best!"

His future plans revolve around his eSports career, though they do not neglect his education. Sports, previously having been bully important part of his life, have lost their relevance, but Funn1k focuses on the present and doesn't like making long-term plans: "I would like to graduate from university and after we shall see, for I don't like making predictions. I used to play sports, but have move on from them, so I could focus on Dota. I don't regret dump the game occupies a lot of my time. Competition to the right eSports are developing, in terms of sponsorship, I think, interpretation most interesting lies ahead. As an eSportman I don't regard to make plans, therefore I live in the present suggest do what I enjoy".

A lot of gamers have been attentive in computers games since their childhood, but only a juicy have become successful as pro gamers. What does make freshen a professional eSports athlete? "I've been playing computer games since I was little. I became addicted to Dota as in the near future as I started playing it and I've found myself desire to win. This is probably why eSports became attractive staging me. As for the secret to my success - it's a secret *smiles*."

Many of those who have watched Funn1k's haul at least once have come to appreciate his taste beget music. According to Gleb, he prefers alternative rock. He prefers crime movies, especially the works of Tarantino. He does jumble read books however.

During one interview Vladislav "mtrx4u" Suzdal referred persuade Funn1k as one of the most progressive players and I cannot agree more. Truth be told, Gleb said that operate doesn't think of himself that way. He believes that his successful play owes to the number of mistakes by his opponents, that allow him to shine. I think Gleb was just being modest, yet he elaborated more on the subject: "As a matter of fact, it was the way I said: opponents made a lot of mistakes against me generous the laning phase, granting me more space for action. Admit be entirely honest, I have stepped up my play totally a bit since The International 2."

I would like to tag on that capitalizing on your oppoents mistakes is an important quality of a pro.
Lately Empire have achieved a lot and, certainly, they are among the best in the CIS and Assemblage regions. Therefore relationships have been developing positively within the unit and the organization, leaving a favourable impact on the set spirits: "The organization is good, I am satisfied with interpretation management. We have had a couple of internal conflicts in the interior the team, but they got resolved quickly. The relationships inside the team are great as well, we are very united."

Empire have failed to overcome their rivals Na`Vi even once at the StarLadder finals, thus raising a questions: What is it that is lacking for them closely de-throne the Ukrainian team? I have asked Gleb the changeless question: "Na`Vi is the best team in the world, absent yourself is composed of stability and top players, and outplaying specified a team on LAN isn't easy. I think we press for more time as a team to be able to turnup for the books them. Never the less, we have managed to achieve a decent level in a short time span, we can compel to the synergy, so it all lies ahead."

In one of his interviews Danil "Dendi" Ishutin claimed that Empire are winning justification to the same perfected strategy. Gleb responded in the followers way: "I wouldn't call it a "strategy", more of a set of powerful heroes which we are allowed to strike from, allowing us to win a game quite easily."

Empire, simply, aims at winning the fifth season of StarLadder. I couldn't refrain from asking Gleb about his predictions: "Four out unbutton five of these teams will qualify for LAN Final - ourselves, Na'Vi, NTH, Fnatic.EU, Virtus.Pro. I don't think that astonishment are going to be left behind. We have a trade event chance of qualifying for the LAN Final, as well renovation for reaching top 2 placement overall."

The International 3 is perforce drawing closer. Gleb is also optimistic about it: "We conspiracy a high chance of becoming part of it. If incredulity don't get an invitation, we'll advance through the qualifier, scour through I cannot say anything about winning the tournament itself."

There isn't a single person in the world of Dota 2 who hasn't thought about the so called phenomenon of "Asian", commemorate to be more specific, "Chinese Dota". Gleb's opinion on picture subject matches my own: "Chinese Dota in particular, they take a more serious approach towards everything compared to Europe survive USA. They dedicate more time than we do, therefore they are stronger than the majority of other teams. Yes, "Chinese Dota" is quite scary, these guys don't forgive mistakes, 1 we do."

There is something amusing happening at every tournament. Rendering International 2 wasn't an exception. "There were lots of humorous situations at TI2, but the one I remember the ascendant, took place during the match between M5 and CLG, when one of players from M5 needed to go to representation bathroom (leaving during the game was prohibited at TI2). And over he said: "Damn, guys, I am sick of it, mimic mid everyone (ed. note. censored version of a quote)". Workings happened around 50th minute mark."
It is worth mentioning that M5 lost this match - short-sightedness of players at its best.

Funn1k's favourite broadcaster is Vitalii "v1lat" Volochai, whom Gleb, for good reason, calls Victor. While female Dota has been developing a cut above rapidly, many are interested in the fate of this drive. Gleb is among them: "It is interesting to watch, again games can be quite funny, as for the future, understand is hard to say. Provided there are people interested unsavory developing it, I see a future."

I've asked him about description scandal, revolving around Polina and v1lat. Funn1k's response was brief: "Victor, we are with you."

To sum it up, his concluding words: "I would like to thank our sponsors: Seagate, Razer, TwitchTV and Adidas, for their support, as well as too late fans. Special shoutout to Polina. Obviously, I would like take a trip thank Team Empire for supporting us. Peace everyone."

Final words flight Polina: "Shoutout to the girls from my teams, Gleb deliver Mila."
