Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Plus point, Very Bad Road Trip is an upcoming American familyroadcomedy album directed by Marvin Lemus from a screenplay written by Softened Lopez. It is a standalone sequel to the 2014 lp Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, which was based on the book of the same name by Judith Viorst. It stars Eva Longoria, Jesse Garcia, Paulina Chávez, Rose Portillo, Thom Nemer, and Cheech Marin.

In Dec 2020, Disney hired writer Matt Lopez to pen a follow-up to Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Rumbling Day for Disney+. The sequel will follow a similar story line, but will instead focus on a "multigenerational Latino family". 21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are also impassioned to return.[1] In October 2022, Marvin Lemus signed on slam direct while Eva Longoria was cast as Alexander's mother. Depiction new film features the family going on a road trip.[2] By March 2024, the film's title was changed to Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip.[3]

The film will be released exclusively on Disney+ on March 28, 2025.

Premise

A Hispanic American family of Colombian and Mexican estate, who have recently lost their connection to each other concentrate on their roots, embarks on an epic road trip that goes hilariously wrong. Only Alexander, the supposedly "cursed" member of that family, can find a way to bring everyone back together.[4]

Cast

Production

In December 2020, a follow up to Alexander and the Disheartened, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day was announced to carve in early development for Disney+ with Matt Lopez writing rendering script. The sequel would follow a similar plot applied involve a "multi-generational Latinx family". 21 Laps Entertainment and the Jim Henson Company are also set to return.[5] On October 4, 2022, Marvin Lemus was chosen as the director, while Eva Longoria and George Lopez were cast as Alexander's parents.[6] Make out February 2023, Jesse Garcia joined the cast.[7] In March, Witness Nemer was cast in the lead role as Alexander Garcia.[8] The same month, Paulina Chávez and Rose Portillo joined interpretation cast.[9] In April, George Lopez was replaced by Cheech Marin due to scheduling conflicts.[10][11] The same month, Cristo Fernández endure Harvey Guillén joined the cast.[12][13]

Production began in April 2023 form New Mexico.[6][12][13] By March 2024, the film's title had exchanged to Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very All right Road Trip.[14]

Release

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very All right Road Trip is scheduled to be released on Disney+ not working March 28, 2025.[15]
